We are looking to hire craftsmen with a passion for creating quality cabinetry and furniture!

POSITION OBJECTIVES:

To assist in the construction and building of custom designed cabinetry & other woodworking projects from computer generated drawings, house plans, or other detailed designs, to meet and exceed the customer’s expectations for the project within budget, and delivery & installation from predetermined construction schedules and timelines in accordance with the customer’s needs and requests.

MINIMUM JOB SPECIFICATIONS & GENERAL DUTIES:

EDUCATION:    High School diploma preferred.   Preference will be given to vocational training or other on the job previous experience in the industry or related field.

EXPERIENCE:   Prior experience within the cabinet or woodworking shop is preferred, however, other general construction or related training will be considered. Training will be provided to the selected candidate.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:  Candidate should have a general knowledge of various shop tools and machinery with the expectation of becoming proficient in the safe use of all required tools.    Candidate should demonstrate good spatial and general math skills, understanding measurements and calculations, and would be expected to learn to calculate quantities for materials needed, measuring for new job proposals/quotes, etc.     

PRIMARY/GENERAL JOB DUTIES:

• Demonstrate a general aptitude to learn the requirements and duties of handling materials, tools, and other items in the cabinet shop.

• Putting Safety first, learn and utilize best practices to ensure safety of employees, other team members, outside contractors, and customers.

• Must demonstrate the highest ethical and customer service skills when dealing with the customer’s job, and taking all necessary precautions to protect the customer’s property and home when measuring, delivering, and installation.

• Team member will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work space, taking care to clean and put away all tools and machines in the shop, preparing them for use the next workday.

• Team members are expected to work together as a team, and lending a hand to help one another during the course of the workday. When a team member completes a task, they should move on to the next assigned task, or assist the other team members complete whatever they are working on.

• Learning to operate sanders, saws, nail guns, paint sprayers, and other shop equipment observing all safety practices.

• Applying finishing products such as stain, sealers, paint, or other custom finishes is required.

• Team members are expected to wear appropriate attire when working in the shop to protect their skin, face, or eyes at all times.

• Team members should be in good physical condition and must have the ability to safely lift at least 50 pounds, climb ladders, and get in and out of delivery truck.
